With Repentance Must Come Restoration
The Case for Principled Social Restoration
Wokeness is a religion without the opportunity for redemption. It embodies every negative feature of pejorative Christian social judgement but without the opportunity for forgiveness, while lacking a concrete set of standards for which to judge restorative repentance.
The proof of this is found in the consistent search for and punishment of the past sins of its targets. Instead of seeking out “sinners” to offer them the good news of a better way forward or a hopeful way for redemption from the curse of past failures, woke apostles seek out sinners to serve as public examples of what will happen to others if they buck the latest and ever changing woke standard. It is the fear of being the target of “call out culture” that serves as the engine for the spread of the woke religion.
The woke religion is designed to prey on universal fear and it is designed well, because it utilizes both new and ever-shifting standards of conduct with the certainty of human fallibility within traditionally accepted standards. It punishes the normal and abnormal equitably.
Woke apostles will hold opposing targets accountable for past actions deemed virtuous for those who accept its shape shifting doctrine of morality,by pitting those who strive to maintain traditional standards against targets who have failed to meet them and at the same time, hold that same opposing target accountable for striving traditional standards in the first place - and for failing to meet them in the past. It is this cultural Kafka trap that keeps many who would otherwise stand up, on bent knees. Targets know that they will be punished by the unwoke who hold traditional standards by being labeled toxic, and by the woke mob for simply not having been woke in the first place. This is why the unwoke must offer the earned social redemption that the woke use against us. If we don’t, time itself will defeat us.

I'm sure you're aware of the so-called Restorative Justice philosophy that has invaded public schools. People living today must compensate for what people who shared a similar skin complexion hundreds of years ago did. It's an attempt to create an original sin doctrine based on skin color. There is no peace or forgiveness to be found in this so-called Restorative Justice ... only divisiveness and resentment.
This is a welcome contribution towards working for society based on cooperation and not shaming. What makes the Woke shaming worse is that it blames the innocent. Wokers are very Calvinist in their approach. One is predetermined to be bad or good before birth and the sign of whether one was blessed and among the good is a dark skin hue, while those who light skin hues are all to blame. Wokeness has no room for individual character, making MLK irrelevant. The Woke and the White Supremacists are cut from the same cloth. We have the answer already. Individual inalienable rights where everyone cooperates to build a society where each individual is uplifted. It matters naught if someone's education was deficient because he grew up motherless with an alcoholic abusive father in Appalachia or in Detroit and was forced to join a gang. Let's be honest, a lot of 19th century immigrants grew up in worse conditions that South Central LA.
People who have done nothing wrong have nothing for which to repent and to claim that they owe restoration is extortion. Inherited guilt is bigotry.
